This transit chart shows which additional qualities are temporarily activated in a person today. It’s often fascinating to observe how these shifts show up — both in ourselves and in others.
When something feels off internally, it’s often due to specific energies being activated within you.
In Human Design, the world operates according to a specific algorithm. This algorithm affects our consciousness in many ways, and one of the most significant is planetary transits — the ongoing movement of celestial bodies.
At the moment of your birth, celestial bodies like the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, the Moon, and the North and South Lunar Nodes (astronomical points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Earth’s ecliptic and which play a major role in Human Design) imprint your energy system. This imprint stays with you for life. Your BodyGraph is created based on the planetary transit map — the positions of these 13 celestial bodies at the time of your birth.
But their influence doesn’t stop there. After birth, these bodies continue to move in cycles. At any given moment, each of the 13 planets occupies a specific position and exerts influence — both on individuals and on humanity as a whole.
How do planetary transits affect a person?
Each planet continuously and at its own pace moves through all 64 Hexagrams and their Lines. This movement affects our moods and life events. Unlike Jyotish astrology or Western natal transits, Human Design combines three components: Design, Personality, and the Transiting Personality.
Every planet carries its own archetype and influence. The Moon moves the fastest — it’s our day-to-day drive. It completes a full cycle in 28 days. Pluto, on the other hand, is much slower, taking about 250 years to complete one orbit. That means the Moon’s effects are short-lived but frequent, while Pluto’s influence may last for years, especially if it activates specific Gates or Channels.
It’s also important to note that planetary transits affect only our consciousness (the black side of the BodyGraph) and do not impact our unique Design (the red side).
Why should you track planetary transits?
You can calculate planetary transits online on our website. Just enter the date and time you’re interested in. You can also overlay your rave chart with the current transit chart. This will show how the planets are affecting you right now — or at any moment in the past.
When forecasting future transits, pay close attention to the Gates activated by the Sun and Earth. Together, they account for about 70% of the total transit influence. The Lunar Nodes are also significant — they indicate the direction and current life perspective. Other planets also matter, but to a lesser degree.
Why does any of this matter?
Transits create the unique energetic background of each day. They color how we experience life — both individually and collectively. They add “something extra” to our behavior and perception. The more undefined Centers a person has, the more they feel the effects of these transits.
It’s critical that your choices and actions don’t become a “product of the transits,” but instead come from your Strategy and Authority. When you follow these, no cosmic “weather” can negatively shift your life — only support it.
Let’s say you’re a Projector. A long-lasting transit activating your Sacral Center might feel like a surge of energy. During this time, you might take on new projects, join a gym, or start running. But once the transit ends, the energy fades. You’re left wondering what happened.
Or imagine you start a relationship during such a transit. Everything feels amazing — like you’ve met “the one.” But when the transit ends, so does the connection. Why? Because certain Centers and Channels were temporarily activated, creating an illusion of alignment. If you had known that from the beginning, you might have approached things differently.
Transits help you trace the cause-and-effect chain behind your feelings, decisions, and events. That’s why it’s worth tracking them — especially long-term ones — to live more consciously and in alignment with yourself.
